At the outset we would like to offer our apologies for the delay in the presentation of the new designs.
But as we had mentioned during our meeting in your office, we will require a week or so off from work due to our college exams. You had agreed to this previously.
The logos have been ready for some time now but we were under the impression that Mr.Dayanand or you would like us to present it to you personally.
Nevertheless, we are mailing you the newly designed logos now.
Also, you mentioned in our previous conversation over the phone that you would like the mascot to be changed. No changes as far as the mascot was concerned had been decided in the meeting, but our graphic designer will get to work on it immediately. But he would like some input on what you are looking for in the mascot. Currently, he is not sure what changes to implement. Still we will experiment here and there and come up with something that will hopefully meet your requirements. But this again will take a few days due to our exams which continue till the 21st of January,2009.
Please find attached 3 JPEG files of the new logos that we have designed and one file containing the mascot so that you can review it and point out what changes you would like.
Please note that according to Mr.Dayanands suggestion, we have made the name shorter. The name is now 'The Curry Story'.
Also, we would like to know if any progress has been made as far as the property for the restaurant is concerned as we will have to redesign the restaurant layout in accordance to the property.
Please reply back as soon as convenient with your approval or any suggested changes.

Sir...the first image in my opinion is the best suited right now. With all due respect, the background is not important as the logo will simply be printed on menus. The background can be the general background of whatever we are printing on i.e. the menu, the billboard etc.
I would still say that black looks the best. As you want to target the younger generation as much as possible, I promise they will find this...to put it quite rashly, 'cool'.
Still, I will work on the background and try to make something more out of it.
As per your requirements, I tried to give this one an Indian feel in contrast to the previous one which as you mentioned looked a little 'chinese'.
